Sensitive career and workplace design. Rome October, 5-6 2023

Reimagine your career and your workplace. The 2023 hybrid conference will be held on October 5 and 6 October. The call for for contributions is open. The 2023 hybrid conference aims to understand sensitive career management skills and sensitive workplace design and to explore their current and future relationship with global trends, local development, communities and individuals from the perspective of different disciplines. The conference, part of the European Year for Skills 2023, will continue tradition of the celebration of the World Sensitive Day connecting researchers, practitioners, industry, and students to exchange ideas, frame problems, and share solutions across a range of specialties concerned with recommendations. Three synergestic and actionables themes:

Theme 1 – Sensitive career management skills. How is career management for young adults and adults related to sensory processing sensitivity differences? What are effective career interventions, strategies, and tools (vocational guidance, career education, and career coaching or counselling) for highly sensitive in vocational setting, transitions and workplace?

Theme 2 – Sensitive organisations and HR management. Job flexibility, autonomy, predictability, and other traits of healthy sensitive workplaces: which implication for management and HR? Sensitive healthy workplace which involves the intersection of behavioural and physical environments: a case for a shift in strategic HR?

Theme 3 – Sensitive workplace design. New European Bauhaus for sensitive coworking and workplace design in a post-pandemic world. How to develop “connective competence”? Which challenges and opportunities in the design of sensitive coworking spaces (i.e. coworking spaces, makerspaces, fablabs, contamination labs, creative and innovation hubs etc. located either in urban centres or in peripheral and remote areas)?

A call for contributions and chapters is open till July, 6.
